Conference: Saving Medicare, Strategies and Solutions
(Described by the Medical Post as a "pivotal moment in Canadian history")

Vancouver, B.C - Internationally-renowned experts from Europe, New Zealand and North America will map out a blueprint for health care reform at the Saving Medicare: Strategies and Solutions conference on November 11-12, 2005 in Vancouver, BC.
Experts in health care, public policy and constitutional law will explore health care reform options stemming from the Supreme Court decision on private health insurance in Quebec.
Hosted by the Canadian Independent Medical Clinics Association, the conference will answer these questions:
- What does the Supreme Court decision means for Quebec and the rest of Canada?
- How will the prospect of up to $40 billion of new private sector investment each year change the face of health care delivery?
- Is Canada heading toward a new European style health system?
CIMCA is a non-profit organization that represents medical clinics, patients, health care workers and their advocates and supporters. Its mission is to promote improved access to high quality, timely health care for all Canadians.
