New Group Benefits & Purchasing Plans for CIMCA members

CIMCA is partnering with BC Health Services Ltd. to offer CIMCA members the opportunity to enroll in any of a diverse portfolio of Group Benefits Programs and a Group Purchasing Program.

GROUP BENEFITS PROGRAM

BCHS has administered group benefits for health related organizations for the past 20 years.

With a pool of approximately 5,500 insured individuals covered under a variety of Benefits Programs, CIMCA member organizations of five or more employees can register for a comprehensive yet affordable health benefits program. Employers who offer their staff a benefits program gain a competitive advantage in the recruitment market and attract highly qualified individuals.

Participating CIMCA organizations can select from a wide range of plan options to design a plan that best suits their budget and coverage requirements. Coverage offered through the programs includes all, or elements of, the following benefits: Extended Health and Dental Care, Short and Long Term Disability, Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Dependent Life plus a Group Critical Illness Insurance program.

Regardless of the program selection, all members enjoy the following advantages:

  • No membership or administration fees
  • No medical approval requirement
  • Expert, pro-active and personal member service and support
  • Coverage for all benefits commences immediately (90 or 180 day waiting period available)
  • Superior coverage compared to most other benefits programs
  • Competitive premium rates

GROUP PURCHASING PROGRAM

In addition, BCHS is offering CIMCA members the opportunity to participate in their Group Purchasing Program. A portfolio of contracted products has been defined to address the core requirements of health service providers in this sector. The benefit to CIMCA members will be cost savings on the acquisition of key commodities. This program is currently in the final stages of development. BCHS will provide CIMCA members with full details in the coming months.
